The Flying School, a Division of Emirates Aviation
Services, is the pioneer in general aviation and flight training in
the UAE and the Middle East. Established in 1989 under the patronage
of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of
Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai International
Airports. It is the first school certified by the UAE General Civil
Aviation Authority.
The School gives training towards PPL, Instrument Rating, Multi
Engine rating, CPL and conversion of foreign licenses to UAE
license. The UAE license given is in accordance with ICAO
requirements and is recognized internationally.
The syllabus covers both flight and ground lessons and provides
information and knowledge required for training commercial pilots.
The training is undertaken by the Chief Flight Instructor assisted by other
qualified instructors, using 5 US built Piper single engine aircraft and one
PA44-180 Piper Seminole multi engine aircraft. A qualified maintenance team
is always on stand to ensure aircraft are maintained to a high standard.
The school is the dealer in Jeppesen products and has a fully stocked Pilot
Shop.
